The iPad offers a nice form factor, but the software needs to catch up if it is to become a useful tool in higher Education - either for students or lecturers.

A number of colleagues from our community have asked for a place where we could share information about novel technologies that can be used for teaching.

We are aiming to host any story, successful or not, in which a new technology has been used in order to try and enhance the student learning experience.  Have your podcasts failed miserably? Is your SMS communication system a perfect match to your students? Was giving students a free iPod at the start of the semester a good idea?  Can you prove that using this technology made an impact on the students learning?  Let us know!
