News storyAnnual Special Issue on Selected PhD Literature Reviews in the Practical Aspects of Software TechnologyFri 13th Mar, 2009 Software Practice and Experience will dedicate an issue of the Journal to the publication of papers based on the literature reviews that appeared in recently awarded PhD theses. The successful authors whose papers appear will also be given on-line access to the Journal for 12 months. The deadlinefor submission is 14 May, 2009. Internationally each year thousands of PhD's are awarded in Computer Science and related disciplines. While many result in conference and journal publications, one of the main thesis components, the literature review, is often not published. In recognition of the potential value of these underutilized resources Software Practice and Experience will dedicate an issue of the Journal to the publication of papers based on the literature reviews that appeared in recently awarded PhD theses. All submissions will be subject to the Journal's normal review process and the best 4 or 5 papers will appear in the Special Issue.
