Interested in website design? Then grasp the chance to design the Economics Network site and win £1,000
The Economics Network is pleased to announce a design competition. This is open to all students from any discipline, particularly economics, art, design and computing.
A new site is being launched to go hand-in-hand with the Why Study Economics initiative, entitled Study Economics. The Study Economics site (www.studyeconomics.org) aims to inform, guide and assist undergraduates of economics with information on dissertations, module options, internships etc.
Thanks to sponsorship from FAME the winning design will be used on this site as well as receive £1000; two runners-up will each receive £500. The competition is open to all UK undergraduates and postgraduates in all disciplines.
Entrants must provide two mock ups, one of the front page and one of a typical content page. We are accepting digital submissions, as an image (e.g. designed in PhotoShop) or as HTML.
The judges are looking for a design that:
Any images used in the design must have appropriate permissions for reuse, e.g. a Creative Commons licence, public domain, or permission from the copyright holder. You can copy any existing text from the site to use in the mock-ups. Email all entries to M.Best@bristol.ac.uk. Deadline for entries: 28 February 2009
