Community of Practice for Research Methods
Two events have been held at Birmingham Central Library on the 21st September and the 25th January 2007.
Actions resulting from the community so far include:
- A bid was submitted to the HEA-ICS Development Fund for the creation of teaching materials and has been accepted
- The community will be promoted via the CILIP Library and Information Research Group
- A virtual space has been set up to facilitate communication for the community
- A further bid is being put together to submit to the HEA-ICS Development Fund
- The members have pledged to share examples of surveys, questionnaires and other teaching examples online
- The materials resulting from the two bids will be made available via the HEA-ICS Subject Centre (more details on the virtual discussion area)
The virtual discussion area has been set up by the Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for Information and Computer Sciences. Please contact Anne Morris for further information about joining this to participate in the Community of Practice. Email: a.morris@lboro.ac.uk
