Editor in Chief
Alan Poulter
Alan Poulter is currently a lecturer in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at Strathclyde University in Glasgow. He is a member of three Postgraduate Course Teams, MSc Information and Library Studies, MSc Forensic Informatics and MSc Strategic Information Systems, the latter being an innovative distance-learning course delivered for a large corporate client. Previously, while at Loughborough University, he designed and ran Undergraduate courses. His teaching experience in terms of content and modes is wide, from Information Systems for non-technical MBA students to a partially online module on Computer-Mediated Communication.

Tom Boyle
Tom Boyle is Professor of Multimedia and Learning Technology at London Metropolitan University. He is Leader of the Learning Technology Research Institute (LTRI) and Assistant Director (Pedagogy) of the Higher Education Academy. His research interests include pedagogical principles for the design of multimedia learning environments, networked multimedia and collaborative learning, the theoretical basis of learning technology, methodologies for multimedia systems development and the evaluation of innovative multimedia environments.
Forbes Gibb
Forbes Gibb is Professor and Deputy Head of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at the University of Strathclyde. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Information Scientists and the founding editor of Expert Systems for Information Management and the Journal of Document and Text Management. His research interests lie in the fields of information strategy, knowledge management, e-books and language-based information retrieval systems and he has been involved in several ESPRIT projects and is currently project co-ordinator for MIND.

Dick Hartley
Dick Hartley is Head of the Department of Information & Communications and Professor of Information Science at Manchester Metropolitan University. He is Joint Editor for Education for Information, an Associate Editor of the Journal of Information Science and Technology, a member of the Editorial Board of the Library Review and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (FCLIP). His research interests include information retrieval, particularly OPAC's image retrieval and how users search retrieval systems, and the application of information technology in Greek libraries.
Colin Higgins
Colin Higgins is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Nottingham. His main research interests lie in Learning Technology and Machine Intelligence and include cursive script recognition, pen computing and a multi-modal intelligent design aid via the designers apprentice project.

David Marshall
David Marshall is a senior lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Cardiff University. His main research interests are in computer vision with applications to 3D analysis, reverse engineering, biological applications and multimedia. He actively collaborates with UK industry and other research institutions and has recently been awarded a BBSRC BioInformatics grant in collaboration with Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh to continue this work with application to building visual indexing capabilities for taxonomic information systems.
