Travel Info - How To Get There

This years conference will be held in Liverpool Hope University. Liverpool Hope offers a choice between the leafy, suburban Hope Park campus in Childwall, a 30 acre landscaped campus offering a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere or Hope at Everton. This is a Grade II listed building with a contemporary feel located in the city centre. Up to 400 delgates can be accommodated all year round. Leisure facilities include a sports centre with floodlit astroturf pitch; Strive Fitness Centre; two football pitches; eight court badminton hall; and two squash courts. There is a student union bar and we offer wine/bar for all dinners.

By Car

From the M62:

At the end of the M62, take the left feeder lane by The Rocket public house onto the A5058 Queens Drive (signposted Ring Road, Widnes, Liverpool Airport). Travel to the Childwall Fiveways roundabout and take the third exit, straight on. Continue along Queens Drive to the second set of traffic lights and turn left onto Woolton Road (signposted Woolton). Travel to the next set of traffic lights and turn left into Hope Park.

From the M56:

Leave the motorway at Junction 12 (A557). Follow signs to Widnes, Runcorn and Liverpool Airport (A557) for about three miles. At the junction with the A533 branch left to go over Runcorn Bridge. Move into the right hand lane on the Bridge and follow signs for Liverpool (A562). Stay on the main road to Liverpool, which becomes the A561 (pass Jaguar Factory on the righthand side) until the second set of traffic lightsand turn right on to the A5275 Speke Hall Road which becomes Hillfoot Road (A562) then Menlove Avenue (A565), through three sets of traffic lights. At fourth set of traffic lights, turn right into Cromptons Lane, through another set of traffic
lights on to Taggart Avenue into Hope Park.

From the Wirral & Liverpool city centre:

Travel through the Wallasey Mersey Tunnel (Kingsway) and at the exit there are options to go left or straight ahead. Proceed straight ahead leading to Scotland Road, Bryom Street. Keep in the left hand lane and pass the Liverpool John Moores University building on your left. At the traffic lights follow the road up to the left (signposted Warrington, Manchester and M62) on to Islington and move into right hand lane to the second set of traffic lights. Proceed straight ahead onto Brunswick Road and follow the road round to the right onto Low Hill. At the traffic lights carry straight on, B5340 Hall Lane, but move into the lefthand lane. At the next lights, turn left onto A5047 Edge Lane, carry straight on for approximately 2.5 miles. After the junction with Rathbone Road, the road becomes the A5080 Edge Lane Drive, which leads to the major junction near the beginning of M62. Approaching this junction move into the right-hand lane and follow the road round to the right onto A5058 Queens Drive. Keep on this road until the Childwall Fiveways roundabout, take the third exit, straight on. Continue along Queens Drive to the second set of traffic lights. Turn left onto Woolton Road (signposted Woolton), continue down this road until your reach the next main set of traffic lights and turn left into Hope Park. By Rail

Broadgreen Railway Station is the nearest (just over 1 mile) to the Hope Park campus. Various buses are available from Queens drive, a short walk away. The 61 and 61A bus services stop along Taggart Avenue , and the 81 and 81A bus services stop at the triangle at the top of Taggart Avenue .

By Coach

From Liverpool city centre: Buses run regularly to Hope Park from Liverpool city centre. You can take numbers 74 and 75 (from Great Charlotte Street ) about five minutes walk from both Lime Street and Central Station. Bus number 78 runs from Queens Square and the 86C runs from Elliot Street .

From Bootle: the 61 and 61A bus services come past the University on their way to Aigburth and the 81 and 81A go to Speke and Liverpool Airport respectively.

The University Bus is a service for students & staff at Liverpool Hope University and currently runs between the three campuses at the following times:

8.10 Hope Park - Everton
8.20 Aigburth - Hope Park
8.30 Everton - Hope Park
10.20 Aigburth - Hope Park
13.10 Hope Park - Everton
13.30 Everton - Hope Park
16.00 Hope Park - Aigburth
18.10 Hope Park - Everton
(This service will also drop at Aigburth if the driver is notified)
18.30 Everton - Hope Park

The University Bus will run during term time only.
