Many Course Management Systems (CMS) exist including (External) Moodle , (External) Blackboard , (External) WebCT and (External) Angel , and can in principle be used to collect data (student assignments) prior to submission to detection software (the “collection” phase described in detecting plagiarism ). (External) Turnitin allows for integration with these systems, and JISC provides (External) further information about integration procedures on their web site.
(External) EduTools is a very comprehensive website containing up-to-date information on many Course Management Systems. It offers comparisons between CMS tools and allows users to submit reviews on products. The EduTools website allows users to select and compare products by (External) product name, and by features , such as a comparison between (External) Angel, Moodle, and Blackboard .
The (External) BOSS online submission system is a simple open source course management tool which allows students to submit assignments, and contains tools for enabling staff to manage (and mark) their modules online. The Sherlock plagiarism detection tool is integrated with BOSS.
